Mr. Tablesh Pandey, the former Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India, holds a B. Tech in Agricultural Engineering and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Actuaries of India. He embarked on his illustrious career with the Life Insurance Corporation of India as a Direct Recruit Officer of the 16th Batch in February 1988, beginning his journey in Varanasi, North Central Zone.

Over the years, he has garnered extensive experience across various zones, including the North Central Zone, East Central Zone, and South Zone. He has held several key positions, notably as Regional Manager (IT) in the Central, East Central, and South Zones. In May 2015, he joined the Central Office in Mumbai, serving initially as Secretary (Actuarial) and subsequently as Secretary (P&GS).

His career trajectory saw a significant rise in April 2018 when he was promoted to Zonal Manager (Ordinary Scale) and appointed as Chief (Actuarial), followed by Chief (P&GS). Further advancement came in April 2021, when he was elevated to Zonal Manager (Selection Scale) and took on the role of Executive Director (Investment-Mid Office). Before assuming the position of Managing Director, he served as Executive Director (ERM/CRO/ACGC). He retired as the Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India Limited with effect from May 31, 2025.
