MOU with International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI)

 The Academy is delighted to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Union of Marine Insurance, Hamburg, Germany,

The marine insurance market is constantly evolving and the demand for knowledge up-gradation has become essential for marine underwriters. As a premier insurance educational institution, National Insurance Academy has played this vital role over the years by collaborating with the best institutions globally to make the most up to date course material available for its students.

The International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) is a professional body run by and for its members. IUMI represents national and international marine insurers and considers issues of interest to the worldwide marine insurance industry. It is the largest forum for marine underwriters in the world. IUMI's education programme offers e-learning courses suitable for insurance professionals interested in marine cargo and hull insurance. Marine Hull and Cargo Courses offered by IUMI are accredited by NIA.

The MOU with IUMI provides the basis for collaboration between the two organizations to promote and expand knowledge and expertise for marine insurers. Both organizations run online webinars together and facilitate an exchange of information on specific marine insurance topics. IUMI and NIA help identify suitable experts and guest speakers on topics relevant to marine underwriters from around the world. 

IUMI offers certification courses on Marine Hull and Cargo at preferential membership fees for NIA students as below;

1. Cargo Tutorials : EUR 550.00 
2. Hull Tutorials :   EUR 650.00
