NSBM Green University, Sri Lanka
NSBM Green University is a self-financed university in Sri Lanka that is renowned as the premier higher education institute for its world-class academic offerings.
In a quest for a new pathway in holistic education, NSBM Green University was officially declared open in October 2016. As a leading educational centre in the country, NSBM has evolved into becoming a highly recognised higher education institute that offers unique opportunities and holistic education on par with international standards while promoting sustainable living.
NSBM offers over 60 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes under five faculties: Business, Computing, Engineering, Science, and Postgraduate & Professional Advancement. These study programmes at NSBM are either its own programmes recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Sri Lanka or programmes conducted in affiliation with top-ranked foreign universities in the UK and Australia.
Inspired by the vision of being Sri Lanka’s best-performing university and being recognised internationally, NSBM currently achieves approximately 3500 new enrollments per year and houses over 12,000 students. Over the years, NSBM Green University has gifted the nation with 20,000+ graduates and has proved its global presence with an alumni network spread all across the world.
Nestling on a 40-acre land amidst the greenery and serenity in Pitipana, Homagama, NSBM Green University encompasses an ultra-modern university complex constructed with state-of-the-art facilities and amenities that provide the perfect setting for high-quality teaching, learning and research. Elevating the green university concept, NSBM Phase II and Phase III developments take shape on lands adjacent to the current premises, aiming to broaden the university's prospects and facilities.
NSBM's excellence is consistently reaffirmed through prestigious awards and accolades, including multiple Gold Awards at the National Business Excellence Awards, continuous Gold Awards for Financial Reporting from CA Sri Lanka, and the Gold Award for Environmental Contribution at the President’s Environmental Awards. Best attesting to its recognition as a leader in the nation’s educational sector, NSBM was ranked as Sri Lanka’s 4th strongest brand in 2023 by Brand Finance Sri Lanka 100.
