Background:
The success of bancassurance depends on the
well coordinated collaborative partnership between the banks and the insurance
companies complementing each other’s strength and opportunities in meeting
their interrelated market needs. This involves that both the insurers and the
bank officials need to understand the dynamics of banking and insurance business
and the requirements of bank customers which would help in aligning the
insurance products to the bank business and their customer needs. Secondly,
providing better product and service support along with personalised
relationships with bank officials and customers helps insuer’s leveraging for
higher penetration and sustainability. The two days workshop would help the
insurance executives understand the operational issues affecting the growth of
banc assurance business and develop their strategies and or responses to resolve
these issues in order to manage the banc-assurance channel effectively.
