- ANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL REPORTS (NON-LIFE)
Background:
The General Insurance Industry in India has been growing at a relatively good pace in the last decade. Even during the years of the pandemic, there was positive growth. Even in this scenario, the profitability of companies has been a concern, with many companies having underwriting losses, year after year. This has had a severe impact on the overall operations of companies.
The primary focus of the Regulators, Management and other stakeholders is that the Insurers have the financial strength and stability to fulfil the promises they make. Solvency Regulations demand a sound system of assessing an insurance company’s assets and liabilities, which are the results of the business that the insurers undertake.
This programme aims to provide an understanding of the Financial Statements and other relevant financial reports with a view to formulating business decisions and integrate them with capital requirements. By attending this course, the participants would get a more holistic view of Income and Expenses Management and how decisions on business growth, in the aggregate, could have an impact on the financial strength of the general insurance industry.
