EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OFFICIALS (INSURANCE
AND SOFT SKILLS) (LIC)
(2024 - 25)
Background:
The various activities in an organization need to be integrated to attain better results. The human resources have to be continuously allowed to introspect and nurture their skills. The competition in the industry and the consequent demands from the officers of the organization necessitates such updates.
The officials of different departments of LIC of India get nominated for MDP, CTP or Competency Development Programmes at NIA but the officials of the Engineering Dept. do not get a similar opportunity simply because the dept. is a technical dept. and highly specialized. Keeping this in mind, a separate Executive Development Programme has been specifically designed for the officers working in the Engineering department of LIC which will give them the latest information pertaining to advancements in the Insurance Industry and also an exposure to some of the important soft skills required for overall personal growth and also to interact effectively with their other colleagues in the office.
This program would enable the officers understand the fundamentals of Life Insurance business and make them aware of its different components and as to how they can contribute to strengthen the core business. One important area is the office outlook and ambience and its relevance in providing a world class facility to our employees and the customers.
Coexistence and integrated approach would go a long way to improve efficiency and also the sense of belongingness. Such belongingness results in unity of purpose, entailing to work for the objectives of the organization leading to growth at its true potential and maintain our lead in the market.
